MEDIAL | Video Editing Feature

This video is all about making video editing simple with Medial. We'll walk through the main editing tools available in both the CMS and your LMS, showing you just how easy it is to get your videos looking just right, right from your web browser.

Accessing The Medial Editor

The great thing about Medial is how easy it is to get to the editor. You can jump right in from a video in your library or playlist. It's also accessible from the content listing, or even through the Medial search if you're using your LMS. No complicated steps, just straightforward access.

Key Editing Features

Medial offers some really useful tools to help you shape your videos:

  • Trim: This is perfect for cleaning up the beginning and end of your videos. You can easily remove unwanted parts to make your content more focused.

  • Chop: Need to remove a specific section from the middle of your video? The chop feature lets you cut out as many parts as you need. It’s super handy for getting rid of mistakes or less important segments.

  • Export: This feature is fantastic for creating new, shorter video assets from a longer one. You can take specific clips or sections out of a video, which is ideal for breaking down a long lecture or presentation into bite-sized pieces.

Fine-Tuning Your Edits

One of the best parts of the Medial editor is the control you have. After you've made your trims or chops, you can easily adjust the timings. You can drag the markers to get the exact start and end points, or you can manually type in the precise times. This level of detail means you can really polish your videos.

Plus, when you're done editing, you get to choose what happens next. You can keep the original video file as it is, or you can replace it with your newly edited version. This gives you flexibility in how you manage your video library.

So, whether you're just tidying up the edges, cutting out a few bits, or creating new clips from existing footage, Medial makes video editing accessible and efficient, all within your web browser.
