Zoom is everyone's new best friend! Long before the pandemic, many of us were using Zoom and extolling its virtues to anyone that would listen.
Zoom helps universities and schools with secure video communication services for hybrid classrooms and video conferences that allows students and teachers to virtually connect from any location and participate in a class, meeting, or work session.
With MEDIAL and Zoom you can construct a remote learning classroom in a matter of minutes, offering a simple solution that doesn't require developer expertise or streaming video experience.
In addition, Zoom's recently improved security settings and MEDIAL's ability to encrypt your live video adds protection for your streams from uninvited guests.
MEDIAL and Zoom also allows an instructor to host and deploy a live virtual classroom to thousands of viewers in a matter of minutes.
Many of our users already upload content that they record in Zoom. MEDIAL (unlike Zoom) does not delete your content after a certain period of time and most MEDIAL installations have no limit on the amount of data you can store.
Zoom meetings recorded can be streamed in Full HD with MEDIAL and delivered to users around the world on any device via adaptive bit rate (ABR) streaming. Once uploaded to MEDIAL you can also use it within your LMS, including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace.
In the upcoming version of MEDIAL v7 (planned for summer 2020) we will be releasing a feature that will fully integrate with Zoom to allow all or selected Zoom recordings from your Zoom account to be automatically ingested into your MEDIAL.
Please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in trying the Zoom integration with MEDIAL.
